My bows

These are the traditional English longbows and warbows I have listed on eBay right now, each one made by my own hand. Every bow is one of a kind, and if the one you want has gone, I'll make you one like it.

Prices are as listed on eBay, October 2026. Every Archey Bowman bow comes with buffalo horn tips, a B-55 Flemish twist string and a one-year full replacement warranty.

What every bow comes with

  1. Custom buffalo horn tips, shaped by hand
  2. Inlaid strike plates, right and left handed
  3. A deer skin and sinew handle wrap, if you want one
  4. Three coats of hand-rubbed satin hard wax oil
  5. Built to the specs for proper longbows
  6. A B-55 Flemish twist string and a B-55 stringer
  7. A one-year full replacement warranty. If anything goes wrong with the bow from workmanship or material within a year, I'll replace it at no cost to you.

What I make

I make heavy warbows from 115# to 190# at 28", 80" overall, and lighter longbows too. They're bamboo-backed ipe, tri-lams of bamboo, ipe and white hickory, and selfbows of straight-grained white hickory.

If you don't see the bow you want, tell me your draw length and the weight you're after, and I'll make it. I set every string before the bow ships, for a brace height of about 6½ inches; twist the string up or down to adjust it.

Replacement strings

If you own one of my bows and need a new string, I make B-55 Flemish twist replacements. Tell me the type, length and draw weight of your bow, and I'll make one to fit it.
